Hurray for Hollywood

For 25 years I have been working primarily in the production of film and television, the majority of it in American drama. The first 10 years was spent in a variety of roles ranging from scenic artist to art director, the last 15 has been spent mostly working in visual effects.
As before I haven't really settled on anything specific, tending mainly towards whatever jobs are offered at the time, and of those preference to ones that pay. So that has left me with the legacy of experience in matte painting, graphic design, compositing and visual effects supervision.

But is it art?

While most of what I do is more craft than art, I like to think that the best effects are usually the ones that go totally unnoticed. I can only but hope that you have not noticed too many of mine.
